My Mom's Mayonnaise

I found this recipe tucked into a drawer when we remodeled the kitchen. My mother gave it to me about 40 years ago. You could substitute white pepper for the black if desired.
Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. sugar shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups olive oil shopping list
- 1 tblsp. vinegar or lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients except oil and vinegar.
- Add oil drop by drop.
- Add vinegar gradually and mix well.
