How to make it

  • Fry bacon until crisp and drain on paper towel.
  • Chop broccoli and red onion. Mix together with crumbled bacon in serving bowl.
  • Mix mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar, whisk until blended.
  • Refrigerate an hour before serving.
  • Pour dressing over salad just before serving.

    We make a similar salad with the addition of some cheddar cheese and sometimes we make it with half broccoli, half cauliflower. It really is versatile.

    i loved this recipe. only, i blanched the broccoli for two minutes and placed it in ice water till it was cold. i drained it well and went ahead with the salad.added some kidney beans to it i had in the frig.delich! next time i will use green onions instead of the red ones.
