How to make it

  • In a slow cooker,mix all ingredients except milk. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours or until vegetables are tender. Stir in milk. Mix if you do not want chunky peas. Discard bay leaves before serving

    LindaLMT ate it and said...
    Best Split Pea Soup! and so easy to make. I used 4 c. of chicken stock (that's how much was in the box) and 1 c. of water. Also add some diced celery and a sprinkling of thyme. I like it thick and added 3 heaping Tbs. of instant mashed potato flakes after it was cooked to ensure a desired consistency for my taste and added 1 T. at a time and used the milk per individual serving and to each person's taste.
