How to make it

  • Lighly butter a 3 1/2 quart crock pot.
  • Pour pie filling slowly into the crock pot.
  • In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients and add the vanilla.
  • Mix well.
  • Cut in the butter with a fork or pastry cutter.
  • Sprinkle the crumbs over the pie filling.
  • Cook for 5 hours on low.
  • Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
  • Note: If using apple pie filling you may want to add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.

    The only thing better than fruit crisp is fruit crisp that takes almost no prep! Yummy!

    This recipe is wonderful! I have made it twice and plan on making it many more times. I have to make a double batch though, because my husband will eat it all if I don't.
