Southern Sweet Iced Tea

- Serves 1 gallon
The trick to making the best sweet iced tea, is to NOT boil the tea, after the tea bags are in it.
Ingredients
- 1 gallon water shopping list
- 3 family sized Lipton tea bags shopping list
- 1 1/3 cup sugar shopping list
- large pot with lid shopping list
- gallon sized pitcher shopping list
How to make it
- Bring 1 gallon of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Once it is boiling, turn the heat off, and dunk 3 family sized tea bags in it.
- ***Do NOT boil it, after the tea bags are in it!!!***
- Cover the pot, and let sit for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, squeeze the tea out of the bags, and dispose of the bags.
- Add 1 1/3 cups sugar to gallon sized pitcher, pour tea over the sugar, and stir well.
- Refrigerate until well chilled, serve, and enjoy.
