Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix the flours, baking powder together. Stir to mix well, then drop the okra pods in and stir again.
  • Heat oil in a wok or frying pan over medium heat or Deep fryer. Test by adding a drop of batter; when it puffs up immediately, the oil is ready. Remove pods from the batter one at a time and add to the wok, taking care not to crowd. Fry until lightly brown. Drain and keep warm until all the pods are cooked.

I can vouch for these, they are totally delicious & quite addictive. These are quite a big hit in Thailand also. I always make a dipping sauce out of 1garlic clove, a good splash of soy & fish sauce,1 chopped red chilli & a bunch of corriander. Great stuff..:-))

These are a few of my favorite things. I love fried okra with home grown tomaters. Didn't grow any this year either. My mouth is watering.
