How to make it

  • Cook spaghetti in plenty of salted water, meanwhile
  • put the oil in a frying pan, mince the garlic and fry till golden brown then discard.
  • Keep the oil warm,chop the parsley finely.
  • Drain the pasta when al dente, season with the black pepper and cover with the garlic flavoured oil,add parsley, squeeze in the lemon juice.
  • Mix well and serve hot.
  • Notes
  • You can use different kinds of pasta, I like penne pasta.
  • This can be doubled very easy. I sometimes add shrimp or scallops to this.

    I made this, took a couple of bites and thought it was good. Just for my personal preference, I added more black pepper and a little seasoning salt. I really do not care for parsley, so I left it out. I'll make this again. Thank you for sharing this Manella.

    Jan 1/16 This recipe by Manella is fantastic. I have done the recipe as written before and it is a solid 5 stars. This time I did tweak. I did not have enough dry parsley so added some basil, oregano, onion and an assortment of shredded cheeses. Wow fantastic which shows how versatile this recipe can be. Will be doing again as family does love it.

    As a southerner through and through, mom called it white spaghetti. We didn't get shrimp add-ins. Just a salad on the side, ma'am. I love it still.
