How to make it

  • 1. Butter outsides of sourdough slices.
  • 2. Place layer of cheese, tomatoes, onion, basil or pesto, drizzle of balsalmic, and then another layer of cheese, between the slices of bread.
  • 3. Place in a pan over medium heat and cook until browned to your liking and carefully flip - cook for another minute or two, until done. Enjoy!

    Nice sandwich, and luckily tomatoes and basil are still in season here, but pesto is a good idea when you don't have the fresh basil on hand. Added a review in the IMI :) ------------> Caprese Grilled Cheese
