Ingredients
  • 3/4 c. of lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups whole wheat bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast (or one packet)

Directions
  1. Place the ingredients into the pan of a bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  2. Close the lid, select the Dough cycle, and press Start.
  3. When the machine signals the end of the cycle, remove the dough and knead into a tight ball on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Let rest for about 15 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  6. Stretch the dough out to fit your desired pizza pan.
  7. Let rise for about 20 minutes for a thicker crust.
  8. Top with sauce, cheese and desired pizza toppings.
  9. Bake for 10 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the crust is lightly browned on the bottom when you lift up to take a peek.
  10. Enjoy!

I don't mind stinky breath at all if it involves garlic - thanks for sharing this! We sued to get a pizza that was topped with thin, crispy slices of elephant garlic...that would be PERFECT on this crust.

Delicious! I used six cloves of garlic and wheat flour. 17 minutes in my oven. This one is going in the bread machine recipe book I have made. Thank you!

Alterations


I added a dash of dried rosemary and some dried basil to the mix- awsome!
makes a great crust for a simple pizza - sliced tomatoes/ crumbled feta cheese / chunks of chicken breast/ and some basil leaves
