This recipe was done as a history lesson. It went on and on. I had to try it because of how it was written. I tried it and It is one of my top 4 cheesecakes! Be sure to line the spring form pan and bake in water bath

Ingredients
  • ALL AT ROOM TEMP
  • 2 pounds cream cheese cake (4 -8 oz package)
  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 1/4 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs

Directions
  1. Blend cheese & butter then add sour cream. DO NOT OVER MIX. Add starch, sugar, vanilla, juice mixing and adding in eggs one at a time. Grease 9 1/2" spring pan. Line out side of pan with foil.
  2. Pour batter into greased pan. Placed foil lined pan in larger pan and fill pan 1/2 filled with water.
  3. Bake 1 hour at 375 ( check in 45 minutes)
  4. after the hour leave in oven with door shut for another hour..
