How to make it

  • Brown the ground beef over medium.
  • Meanwhile, strain the black beans and set aside.
  • Rinse the strainer, and then strain the tomatoes over a measuring cup so you don't lose all the tomato liquid.
  • Top off the measuring cup with water until you have about 7 oz.
  • Mix tomatoes, water/tomato juice mix, beans, and seasoning into the beef and simmer for 5-10 minutes, until thickened.

    Yeah, this is a keeper. I love black beans. In fact, Mexican food in general is one of my favorite food groups!!!!
