Stovetop Shepards Pie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 (10 oz.) package of frozen mixed veg. (peas, carrots, green beans, etc.)
  • 1/4 C. water
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 3 C. pre-made mashed potatoes
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 C. shredded cheddar cheese

Directions
  1. Brown the beef in a large skillet.
  2. Stir in vegetables and 1/4 C. water.
  3. Cover and simmer for 10 min. or until vegetables are soft.
  4. Add the tomato soup, Worcestershire and thyme and bring to a boil.
  5. Stir constantly to heat through.
  6. Divide into 6 bowls.
  7. Heat mashed potatoes and mix with garlic powder.
  8. Top each bowl with 1/2 C. mashed potatoes.
  9. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
