Burger N Tots Casserole Recipe
This goes together really easily and can even be made vegetarian by using a meat substitute. Kids will love it...tater tots and cheese...how can you beat that?!?!?

Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef or meat substitue
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom OR cream of chicken soup
  • 1 bag tater tots
  • 12 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic powder, if desired
  • onion powder if you don't like diced onion in the meat

Directions
  1. Brown ground beef with diced onion and salt and pepper.
  2. Drain well.
  3. Spread beef in bottom of a 13x9 baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle with garlic powder if desired and/or onion powder if you're not using onions.
  5. Pour 1 can, undiluted, of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup over top.
  6. Cover entire casserole with tater tots.
  7. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle top with shredded cheese.
  9. Return to oven for 10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

I made this last night, and it's GOOD and it's cheap to make too!!! I will def be making this again for dinner!


I make something similar to this. I add french cut green beans to one layer. Can't beat comfort food!
