Texarkansas Beans Crockpot Recipe
Pot luck recipe that serves a bunch. We love it over crushed fritos. Some people like it over rice, Top it with cheddar cheese and your are good to go.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. of ground beef
  • 1 can of red kidney beans
  • 1 can of pintos with jalapenos
  • 3/4 cup of light brown sugar
  • 1 can of chopped ham (Hormel)
  • 10 slices of bacon
  • 1 can of Northern Beans
  • 1 can of Ranch style Beans (black label) Love these!
  • 3/4 cup of ketchup
  • 2 tbsp of dark molasses
  • 3 dashes of worchestershire
  • 1/4 cup of yellow mustard
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic chopped
  • Fritos and cheddar cheese

Directions
  1. Cut bacon in small pieces.
  2. Cook bacon with beef and onions, garlic in a large skillet until the beef has lost the pink color.
  3. Dump all the cans of beans, ham, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, worchestershire, molasses and beef mixture into your crock pot, cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Freezes very well.
  5. Best over fritos, topped with cheddar cheese.

I love beans..... this sounds so good... we had beans tonight with ham.....and of course corn bread.....


Well, I took corn bread with cheese and jalapenos as my go-along with the bean dish....not a scrap left from that pot luck. I like that nothing to worry about taking home. Thanks for the comments.
