Hot and spicey rice

- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup fresh tomato, chopped shopping list
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion shopping list
- 2 medium gloves of garlic, minced shopping list
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 2/3 cups water shopping list
- 2/3 cup raw long-grain rice shopping list
- 1/2 tespoons crushed oregano leaves shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, more to give more spice shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium saucepan, cook green peppers, tomato and onion with garlic in oil until tender-crisp.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, cover.
- Reduce heat to low, cook 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
- May stir to prevent sticking.
- Sprinkle with additonal seasoning if desired.

Just made this it came out quite good even though I had to substitute marjoram and thyme for the oragano and it needed salt. Easy and did not take so long to cook using Basmati rice. Will make it again
