Creamy mushroom-filled rice ring

- 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms shopping list
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions shopping list
- 1/2 can condensed cream of mushroom soup shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons white wine shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed thyme leaves shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 3 cups hot cooked rice, factored into cooking time shopping list
- 1 cup cooked peas shopping list
- 2 tablespoons melted butter shopping list
How to make it
- For sauce:
- In a saucepan, non-stick or sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, cook mushrooms and onions until tender.
- Add soup, water, milk, wine, paprika, thyme and salt and pepper.
- Heat, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, spray a 1-quart mold with non-stick cooking spray.
- To make rice ring:
- Toss rice and peas with butter.
- Lightly pack rice mixture into the ring mold.
- Let stand 2 minutes.
- Loosen edges, invert onto serving plate.
- Serve with sauce.
