How to make it

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter, and saute the onions, garlic and celery around 45 minutes (or until they are cooked down.)
  • Add in the flour and cook briefly, but do not allow it to brown. Stir in shrimp and cook for another 20 minutes.
  • Add in 2-3 cups of water and the mushrooms. Mix in the paprika and season with salt, pepper and red pepper. Cook for 30 minutes. (to make a thick and gravy-like consistency.)

    Edit: It turned out alright, expected much more, was very bland, followed the recipe exactly, me and my husband didnt end up eating the leftovers though. But hey, everyone has their own taste. Thanks =]

    instead of water i use the peeled shells from the shrimp and make a seafood broth. i don't add the shrimp till the end and only ncook for 5 inutes, or until shrimp is pink.
