Sos Army Dip Recipe

SOS Army Dip Recipe
If you are at all familiar with that fine meal served in Army mess halls everywhere, you'll appreciate this. My grandfather was a Colonel in the Army, and my Grammy used to make this for him for years after he retired!

Ingredients
  • 1-6 ounce package dried beef, finely chopped
  • 10 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • horseradish, how much you use depends on your taste buds
  • Rye toast or melba toasts

Directions
  1. In a bowl, combine cream cheese and dried beer. Mix well.
  2. Add mayonnaise and mix again.
  3. Add horseradish, starting with 3 teaspoons and increasing the amount according to how strong you want it.
  4. Mix well.
  5. You can refriegerate it for 15 minutes, but my Grammy used to serve it at room temperature. (My Grandfather couldn't wait longer than it took for her to make it!!!)
