How to make it

  • Preheat the grill to a medium heat and grill brats until just browned. Cut into 2 pieces. In Bring onion, water, beer, seasoning and lemon to a boil in a 10-quart pot. Cover and cook for 15 minutes. Stir in the corn, cover and cook 3 minutes. Finally, add the shrimp, cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes (or until shrimp is done). The sausage internal temperature should reach 160 degrees F. Serve the boil with melted butter and lemon wedges.

    My favorite party-feed-a-crowd meal. Absolutely the most fun, just cook, dump on the newspaper covered table and dig in. I cook ours outside in the turkey fryer with the basket. We have melted garlic butter, tabasco, lemon wedges, a good celery cider slaw and lots of cold beer as our sides. A watermelon is a must for desert. It is all finger food with lots of paper towels.
