Fruity Mincemeat Glazed Apples

- 1 small pkg cherry gelatin shopping list
- 1 small pkg orange gelatin shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups of boiling water shopping list
- 1 cup of cold water shopping list
- 6 large baking apples shopping list
- 1 cup of prepared mincemeat (mom made her own from pot roast, vinegar, sugar, nuts, and raisins) I buy NONESUCH shopping list
How to make it
- Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water.
- Core apples and starting at the stem end peel each apple down about one inch.
- Place apples, peeled side up in a large skillet. Fill cavities with mincemeat. Pour gelatin mixture over the top of the apples and bring just to a boil over medium heat.
- Cover and reduce heat and simmer fifteen minutes until the apples are tender.
- Remove cover and place under broiler, basting frequently for about 15 minutes until the apples are glazed and lightly browned.
