Corn Soup With Shrimp

- 4 Tbsp. flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup oil shopping list
- 3 strips bacon, fried crisp and chopped shopping list
- 2 whole tomatoes shopping list
- 1 cup onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 quarts water shopping list
- 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups fresh corn shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. parsley, chopped shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- Tobasco to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Make a brown roux with oil and flour. Add onions and bell pepper. Cook for a few minutes, stirring often. Add bacon, shrimp, tomatoes, and corn. Cook about 30 minutes, covered on low heat. Stir occassionally. Add water, Tobasco, and salt and simmer about 1 hour. Add parsley and cook another 30 minutes.
