Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Melt butter and margarine
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Mixture will be thick
  • Pour into a 9 x 13 baking pan
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes
  • Check for doneness after 25 minutes
  • DO NOT OVERBAKE!
  • The recipe says these freeze nicely, but I have never frozen them, because no one will let me!

I've always liked the taste of these, but don't care for the nuts. Wonder if they would set up without them??

I might add that I have made these with "two" sticks of butter. Oh, me, you talk about melting in your mouth! Also, you can give them a gentle dusting of powdered sugar.
