Winter Day Chicken Stew

- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 onions, chopped shopping list
- 1 stalk celery, cut into 1 inch pieces shopping list
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced into 1 inch pieces shopping list
- 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed shopping list
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour shopping list
- 3 cups chicken stock shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram shopping list
- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cubed shopping list
- 1 green bell pepper, diced shopping list
How to make it
- -Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
- Place onions in the pot and cook until tender.
- Stir in celery and carrots, and cook until tender.
- Stir in the potatoes and flour.
- Pour in the chicken stock, and season soup with marjoram.
- Place chicken in the pot, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 30 minutes.
- -Mix the green bell pepper into the soup, and continue cooking 10 minutes, until pepper is tender
