Easy Brunswick Stew Recipe

	Henrie / All my dishes 2 years, 2 months ago In Georgia, Brunswick Stew is a popular dish. Got this recipe from a friend, tried it and have been making it on a regular basis every since. My grandson likes Brunswick Stew, but says mine beats what you get in a restraurant, so it must be really really good for him to say that.... More Prep:20m Cook:180m Servings:12	Henrie

Ingredients

2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained

2 cans tomatoes (blended)

2 cans boned chicken (can use fresh chicken)

2 sm. or 1 lg. can pork BBQ (Castleberry's)

2 cans creamed corn

1 tbsp. mustard

1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1 1/2 c. catsup

1/4 c. brown sugar

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in crock pot. Can be

cooked on low for hours.

I make mine on top of the stove and just simmer it for about 3-4 hours

Surprisingly good!

Hey Henrie, that sounds really interesting - but I have a couple questions: what do you mean when you say 2 cans of tomatoes blended? and can you tell me what canned pork BBQ is (does it already have some meat in it, or is it just the BBQ sauce?). I'm full of questions this morning! I'm not familiar with this recipe, so I want to be sure I'm using the right ingredients!

Sorry, two cans of tomatoe's (blended) meaning put in your blender, sometimes I do that and sometimes I don't as long as you chop them up some it's fine. The BBQ pork is put out by Castleberry's, and yes it has the pork in it, (best I can describe this is that it's very thick and it's very fine shreds of meat, not chunks) Hope you can find Castleberry's where you live, I usually can find it in most grocery stores on the outside, but I know you can't find it here on the military base.

I checked at one grocery store today, to see if there was any canned bbq pork, but no luck...there are plenty more stores to check, so I won't give up hope, and I can always just add some leftover pulled pork of my own if I have to. It sounds like a very interesting combo of flavors!

My brunswick stew always has butter beans. so i add a can or frozen. i also add castleberrys beef b-b-que, too. niblets corn is good and may be a little healthier,too than creamed corn.
