Ripe Tomato Relish - Very Old Recipe - From My Wonderful MIL Recipe
This is a recipe I got from my mother-in-law over 20 years ago. She was the best gardener I have ever known and one of the best cooks. She taught me everything I know about canning. Enjoy

Ingredients
  • 24 ripe tomatoes peeled and chopped
  • 6 sweet peppers chopped
  • 6 hot peppers chopped
  • 8 white onions chopped
  • 2-1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 pint vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients and cook for 5 hours stirring often. Put in sterile jars and seal.
