Cheese Pretzels Recipe
Make your own cheese pretzels and give them a bit of zip by adding some cayenne!!!

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2-1/2 cups aged cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons mustard, yellow or dijon
  • 1 egg white
  • 1-1/4 cup flour

Directions
  1. In a bowl, cream butter until fluffy.
  2. Beat in cheese and mustard.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt and cayenne.
  4. Add to the bowl and stir until mixture holds together.
  5. Be careful not to OVER mix.
  6. Form into a disk and wrap in plastic wrap.
  7. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  8. Divide into 1 tablespoon balls.
  9. Roll each ball into a 10-inch strip and twist ends over to form a pretzel.
  10. Place on a baking sheet.
  11. Brush with egg white.
  12. Bake at 375° for 12-15 minutes.
