Punch Bowl Trifle from the Baxter Estate

- 2 cans crushed pineapple shopping list
- 1 package yellow cake mix shopping list
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix shopping list
- 2 cans cherry pie filling shopping list
- 4 medium ripe bananas sliced shopping list
- 2 cans fruit cocktail drained shopping list
- 2 cans mandarin oranges drained shopping list
- 1 carton frozen whipped topping thawed shopping list
- 1 package flaked coconut toasted shopping list
How to make it
- Drain pineapple reserving juice then set pineapple aside.
- Prepare cake batter according to package directions substituting pineapple juice for the water.
- Bake as directed in a greased rectangular cake pan then cool completely.
- Cut cake into 1" cubes then place half in punch bowl.
- Top with half of the pudding, pie filling, pineapple, bananas, fruit cocktail, oranges, whipped topping and coconut.
- Repeat layers then cover and chill for 6 hours or overnight.
