How to make it

  • Melt butter in a 12-inch skillet
  • Add corn, bell pepper (if using), salt, and pepper
  • Stir and cook for 5 minutes
  • Do not overcook
  • Add half-and-half and reduce heat to simmer
  • When cream has cooked away, about 7-10 minutes, serve hot
