Southern Fried Cream and Butter Corn

- 3 cups fresh corn niblets removed from the cob (6-8 ears) shopping list
- 1 stick unsalted butter shopping list
- 1 tablespoon minced bell pepper (green) Optional shopping list
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste shopping list
- 16 ounces half-and-half shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter in a 12-inch skillet
- Add corn, bell pepper (if using), salt, and pepper
- Stir and cook for 5 minutes
- Do not overcook
- Add half-and-half and reduce heat to simmer
- When cream has cooked away, about 7-10 minutes, serve hot
