Southern Fried Cream And Butter Corn Recipe
This is a tried and true southern recipe. Fresh corn, fried in butter with a pint of cream added! Oh-so-smooth-and-oh-so-simple! SO GOOD. Nothing like fresh corn!

Ingredients
  • 3 cups fresh corn niblets removed from the cob (6-8 ears)
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced bell pepper (green) Optional
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • 16 ounces half-and-half

Directions
  1. Melt butter in a 12-inch skillet
  2. Add corn, bell pepper (if using), salt, and pepper
  3. Stir and cook for 5 minutes
  4. Do not overcook
  5. Add half-and-half and reduce heat to simmer
  6. When cream has cooked away, about 7-10 minutes, serve hot
