Root Beer Float Cookies Recipe
This is a fun recipe for fall, especially for Halloween

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter or marg. softened
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk ( I always just sour milk with vinegar)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tea root beer extract
  • 1 tea vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tea baking soda
  • 1/4 tea salt
  • Frosting
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tblsp half -n- half
  • 2 tea butter softened
  • 1 tea root beer extract

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 375
  2. Lightly grease cookie sheets
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars, butter, buttermilk, eggs, root beer, and vanilla. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add flour, soda, salt. Beat at low speed until soft dough forms. Drop heaping teaspoons on cookie sheets.
  5. Bake 10-12 min.
  6. Cool completely
  7. Mix frosting ingredients
  8. Beat until smooth
  9. Spread on cookies
  10. Let dry before storing
