How to make it

  • Heat oven to 375
  • Lightly grease cookie sheets
  • Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars, butter, buttermilk, eggs, root beer, and vanilla. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add flour, soda, salt. Beat at low speed until soft dough forms. Drop heaping teaspoons on cookie sheets.
  • Bake 10-12 min.
  • Cool completely
  • Mix frosting ingredients
  • Beat until smooth
  • Spread on cookies
  • Let dry before storing
