Almendras Acarmeladas Dated 1944

- 1 cup blanched almonds shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
How to make it
- Butter a large sheet of foil and sprinkle lightly with salt.
- To blanch nuts place shelled almonds in boiling water for seven to eight minutes.
- Drain and dry on absorbent towels.
- Remove almond skins.
- Place sugar and butter in small skillet.
- Cook over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
- Add almonds and stir until well coated.
- Pour onto foil.
- Cool and break into pieces.
