This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Watson Estate in McKinney, Texas in 1991.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine almond butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs and almond extract and mix well. In another bowl combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the wet and mix well.
  5. Stir in the coconut.
  6. Pour into a greased square pan and bake 35 minutes.
