Bologna Biscuits with Vegetables

- 1/4 cup sliced white onion shopping list
- 2 tablespoons shortening shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 16 ounce can tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 pound bologna cut into cubes shopping list
- 3/4 cup cooked diced carrots shopping list
- 3/4 cup cooked cut green beans shopping list

- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons shortening shopping list
- 1/4 pound bologna cut into 1/4" cubes shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 425.
- In large skillet cook and stir onion in shortening until tender.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
- Cook over low heat stirring until mixture is bubbly.
- Remove from heat and stir in tomatoes.
- Heat to boiling stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Stir in bologna, carrots and beans then heat to boiling.
- Pour into ungreased baking pan and place in oven.
- Prepare dough and drop 9 tablespoonfuls dough on hot vegetable mixture.
- Bake uncovered 30 minutes.
- Dough:
- Measure dry ingredients into bowl.
- Cut in shortening until mixture looks like meal.
- Stir in bologna and milk.
