Salted Peanut Chews

These are really good, chewy and very yummy
Ingredients
- Base: shopping list
- 1 package yellow cake mix shopping list
- 1/3 cup softened butter shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 2/3 cup corn syrup shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 12 oz. package peanut butter chips (2 cups) shopping list
- 2 cups crisp rice cereal shopping list
- 2 cups salted peanuts shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350*. In a large bowl, combine all the base ingredients except the marshmallows at low speed till crumbly.
- Press into the bottom of a greased 9"X13" pan.
- Bake 12 - 18 minutes till light golden brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle with marshmallows.
- Return to oven for 1-2 minutes until marshmallows just begin to puff.
- Cool while making topping.
- Topping:
- In a large saucepan, heat corn syrup, butter, vanilla and chips until the chips are melted and mixture is smooth and creamy, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in nuts and rice cereal. Immediately spoon over marshmallows and spread to cover.
- Chill, cut into bars. Store covered. Makes 36 bar cookies.
