Fruit Lasagne

- 2 green apples, cored, peeled and sliced shopping list
- 3 green pears, cored, peeled and sliced shopping list
- 2 peaches, peeled and sliced shopping list
- 3 tbsp. butter shopping list
- 3 tbsp. sugar shopping list
- ½ cup water shopping list
- ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg shopping list
- Lasagne sheets shopping list
- ½ cup walnuts, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 tbsp. icing sugar, sifted shopping list

- 2 cans x 397g sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 1 tsp. rosewater shopping list
- 1 ½ cups water shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 tbsp. corn flour shopping list
- 1 can x 170g Cream shopping list
How to make it
- Place the apples, pears, peaches, butter, sugar and a little water in a saucepan and cook over a medium heat, stirring frequently for 10 minutes or until the fruits are soft.
- Stir in the nutmeg.
- Custard mixture:
- Mix theSweetened Condensed Milk with rosewater and water in a saucepan and heat until the mixture simmers.
- Place the eggs and corn flour in a separate bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add ¼ cup of the prepared Sweetened Condensed Milk mixture into the egg mixture and stir until it becomes homogeneous.
- Then return this homogeneous mixture in the saucepan and cook, stirring constantly over a low heat for 4-5 minutes or until the custard thickens.
- Remove from heat and mix with the cream.
- Spread 2 tsp. of custard over the base of a shallow ovenproof dish,
- layer with lasagne sheets and fruits, and sprinkle with walnuts.
- Make another layer from lasagne sheets and fruits, and cover with custard and walnuts.
- Repeat layering.
- . Serve hot or warm, sprinkled with icing sugar.
- Tip: Do not boil the custard and egg mix, because this causes them to separate
