Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix all the herbs together and grind. Use a mortar and pestle for best results.
  • For individual servings, divide the herb mixture between 8 shallow dipping bowls.
  • In a small skillet, add the oil and heat. Add the garlic and stir, heating for 30 seconds to 1 minute. You don't want the garlic browned, you just want to flavor the oil.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Ladle 2-3 tablespoons over each individual serving bowl with the herbs. Give a quick stir.
  • Serve with crusty Italian or French Bread.
  • If making one dish for dipping, just put the herbs in the dish and pour the oil over top the herbs.

This sounds great. I wonder how it would be with a dollop of balsamic vinegar added to it?
