How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • First Part
  • Crumble together 1 cup of flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar and butter.
  • Pat mixture into parchment paper lined 11 x 8 glass baking dish.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Second Part
  • Beat eggs, 1 cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp flour and baking powder mixing well.
  • Stir in coconut, nuts and vanilla.
  • Pour this mixture over the first part, return to oven and bake 30 minutes or until top layer is done.
  • Cool in baking dish then cut into bars.
