How to make it

  • Place the 1/2 cup cornstarch in a large bowl
  • add the chicken pieces and toss to coat well
  • heat oil in wok or larte skillet over high heat to 375 degrees
  • add chicken slowly 1/3 at a time and cook until golden brown and cooked throughly about 5 minutes
  • drain on paper towels
  • remove all but 2 tablespoons oil from wok or skillet
  • add ginger and stir fry 1 minute
  • add onions stir fry 1 minute
  • add broccoli red pepper and mushrooms stir fry for 2 minutes
  • combine remaining ingredients and 1 tablespooncornstarch in small bowl
  • add to wok cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens
  • add chicken back into mix heat through and serve
