How to make it

  • In a frying pan saute vegetables until lightly browned (onions, celery, mushrooms and garlic until they are soft).
  • Add grated carrot.
  • When the vegetables are cooked, remove from pan.
  • Beat the eggs.
  • Place approximately 3 cups of Matza Farfel in large bowl, wet with boiled water until it is soft.
  • Allow to soak for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Drain in colander.
  • Mix eggs, Farfel and vegetables together.
  • Add salt and pepper for taste.
  • Bake in a greased Pyrex dish at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour.
