  • Part # 1
  • PREPARING THE CUSTARD
  • Dissolve cornstarch in 2 c. milk and mix with egg yolks
  • Combine rest of milk with remaining ingredients
  • Heat to boiling without stirring
  • Gradually add egg yolk mixture and cook, stirring rapidly with a wooden spoon until custard boils
  • Immediately pour into individual custard or dessert dishes
  • Part # 2
  • PREPARING THE MERINGUE
  • Beat egg whites until stiff
  • Gradually beat in sugar and lime juice
  • Beat with hand-held electric mixer on high speed until fluffy
  • Garnish custard and refrigerate until ready to serve
  • Serve cold
