- THE custard shopping list
- 2 T. cornstarch shopping list
- 6 c. milk shopping list
- 4 egg yolks shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2/3 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 cinnamon stick... or shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract shopping list

- THE MERINGUE shopping list
- 4 egg whites shopping list
- 1 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 T. fresh lime juice shopping list
How to make it
- Part # 1
- PREPARING THE CUSTARD
- Dissolve cornstarch in 2 c. milk and mix with egg yolks
- Combine rest of milk with remaining ingredients
- Heat to boiling without stirring
- Gradually add egg yolk mixture and cook, stirring rapidly with a wooden spoon until custard boils
- Immediately pour into individual custard or dessert dishes
- Part # 2
- PREPARING THE MERINGUE
- Beat egg whites until stiff
- Gradually beat in sugar and lime juice
- Beat with hand-held electric mixer on high speed until fluffy
- Garnish custard and refrigerate until ready to serve
- Serve cold
