This is a recipe I have used several times. I obtained it from a neighbor over 15 years ago. He put it on some of the best ribs I have ever eaten. You will never guess there is cola or catsup in this. Yummers

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 white onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bay leaf crumbled
  • 2 cups catsup
  • 16 ounces cola
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions
  1. Heat butter in a large saucepan over medium low heat.
  2. Add onions and garlic then cook for 5 minutes but do not brown.
  3. Add remaining ingredients then simmer stirring occasionally for 1 hour.
