Bell Pepper Corn Relish

- 5 ears fresh corn shopping list
- 1 cup chopped cabbage shopping list
- 1/3 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1/3 cup chopped green pepper shopping list
- 1/3 cup chopped sweet red pepper shopping list
- 1/14 cup sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoon ground mustard shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon celery Seed shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon mustard seed shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon turmeric shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup white vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
How to make it
- Cook corn 5 minutes in boiling water.
- Drain and cut kernels from cob.
- Combine with all remaining ingredients in large pan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover then reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
- Chill.
- Serve as a side dish with fish or chicken.

Good stuff, very close to what I remember Aunt Mabel making. We had it as a side dish all summer long and loved it.

my grandmother used to make a corn relish that was out of this world! of course, the recipe, if there ever was one, is lost. This is as close as I've come. Can't wait to try it!!!!!

My computer has been down, but now finally fixed. I got to try this recipe about a month ago and it tastes just like I remember my grandmothers tasting. I was thrilled. My hats off to this site it is great. I look forward to trying more recipes.
