Cajun Chafing Shrimp

- 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup olive oil shopping list
- 1 cup melted butter or margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup hickory-flavored barbecue sauce shopping list
- 1 cup chili sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup lemon juice shopping list
- 2 lemons, sliced shopping list
- 1/4 cup liquid smoke shopping list
- 2 tbs parsley flakes shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- hot sauce to taste shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 4 lb med. shrimp, peeled and deveined shopping list
How to make it
- Saute garlic in olive oil. Add remaining ingredients except shrimp; simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour over shrimp; bake at 300F for 20 minutes or until shrimp begins to turn pink. Cool; then refrigerate several hours for seasonings to blend.
- Before serving, reheat shrimp and transfer to a chafing dish set on low heat. Have toothpicks handy for serving.
