I grew up on potato pancakes, My grandmother grated them so fine by hand. This recipe was a dream when I found it. She never added baking powder to it but in this it keeps it from browing, some what. Oh so good with sour cream and/or apple sauce!! T... More

This recipe truly is a dream! So much easier than my Grandma's recipe. Thank you.

Trust me this is so much easier than the normal way. I grew up eating this every week if I could. Grating it the usual way is so time consuming let alone the nuckles!! As long as you make them thin they are just like the real deal. Trust me, My Baba use to make her potato pancakes often for me. Thin and crispy. They did not have baking powder in them. This amount in this recipe is so minimal and keeps it from browning until you get them fried up!

This is a really interesting recipe because without the flour, etc. in the blender pulsing it would create watery potato slop. I am delighted to know of this variation and answer to that dilemna.

Ok, he said it needs just to be a little more chunky, i like it though, it is sooooo quick to make a batch!

I can't believe I never thought of using a machine for the potatoes. All these years and I've been grating them by hand, ugh!!

I grew up doing the raw potato and grater thing for both dumplings and pancakes...my knuckles took the extreme punishment. This is a good way to make it simple!
