Ingredients
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 ea. eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. chocolate bits or chips
  • 3/4 c. Karo syrup, light
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. pecans
  • 2 tbs. bourbon

Directions
  1. Cream butter
  2. add sugar gradually and cream together
  3. Add eggs, Karo syrup, saly, and vanilla
  4. Stir in chocolate bits, nuts, and bourbon
  5. Bake at 375 for 50 minutes

Looks GREAT. I haven't had a good Derby Pie since I moved from Kentucky many years ago... now I just need an excuse to make one!

Tried this recipe, Awsome great pie. I put a twist on this pie when i made the second one. I put a layer of chocolate on top and decorated it with a few chocolte covered pecans and whipped topping. it was a 5 star hit.Thanks
