Fab Family recipe, generations old! Very Greek lentil recipe that is easy and delish! Give it a try for a cold day food, it is so comforting and yummy! I eat feta cheese and oliveson the side with this!

Ingredients
  • 1 bag lentils
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup onion
  • 3/4 cup matchstick carrots
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/8 cup + 1 TBSP balsamic vinegar

Directions
  1. Wash lentils well
  2. Place into stockpot
  3. Pour chicken broth over lentils 1 inch
  4. Put in carrots, onions & bay leaves in next
  5. Boil til somewhat thick
  6. Mix tomato paste and olive oil together & place in stockpot with lentils.
  7. Mix 1/2 cup flour with water til thin and add to lentil mixture
  8. Next mix in balsamic vinegar
  9. Simmer 20-45 minutes, and ENJOY your DIVA-licious lentils! Please let me know how much you LOVE them!

How big a bag of lentils?


This is really yummy, and makes enough for leftovers (if you're only two). I love it!


Wow! I'd never thought of Balsamic in the lentils! I've GOT to try this recipe now. (I might add some chopped spinach.)


This is really good and super easy. I'll be making this one again.
