How to make it

  • - Separate the yolks & beat with the sugar.
  • - Melt the chocolate in a Bain Marie with 1 Tbsp water or,if preferredin the microwave. Mix with the yolks.
  • - Carefully add the egg white which have been previously beaten till peaking.
  • - Line an oven tray with foil and pour in the mixture. Preheat the oven to 220ºC & put the tray in the lower part with the grill on as well. In 15 minutes remove, allow to cool alittle & cut into three equal parts transverse in regards to the tray.
  • - Build up alternating a layer of cake, a layer of cream, etc. finishing with a layer of cream. If the edges are a little uneven, you can cut with a large knife.
  • - You can mix pieces of strawberry with the cream or spread jam on the layers of cake before adding the cream.
  • - Adorn with chocolate sprinkles & strawberry halves. You can also use other fruit like kiwi, other berries....

  • -Separar las yemas y batirlas con el azúcar.
  • -Deshacer el chocolate al Baño María con 1 cucharada de agua o,si se prefiere en el microondas. Mezclar con las yemas.
  • -Añadir con cuidado las claras que previamente habremos montado a punto de nieve.
  • -Forrar la bandeja del horno con papel de aluminio y verter la mezcla. Precalentar el horno a 220º e introducir la bandeja en la parte baja y con el gratinador también encendido. En 15 minutos sacar, dejar enfriar un poco y cortar en tres partes iguales en sentido transversal respecto a la bandeja.
  • -Desmoldar alternando una capa de bizcocho, una de nata, otra de bizcocho, nata, bizcocho. y terminar con nata. Si quedaran un poco desigualados los bordes, se soluciona recortándolos un poco con un cuchillo largo.
  • -Se puede mezclar trocitos de fresa con la nata de las capas intermedias, o untar mermelada de fresa en una de las capas de bizcocho y luego poner la nata. Adornar con los fideos de chocolate y fresas partidas. Se puede adornar con otras frutas como rodajitas de Kiwi, grosellas...

    Muchas graicas (not sure about spelling there). This looks very good. Just a few questions. What size pan and how much in liters is 1/2 kg cream? Is that the same as 1/2 liter? My daughter gave up sweets and dessert for Lent so I will have to wait til after Easter to make this or I'll be in trouble,LOL Thanks for the post!
