How to make it

  • Sift together sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.
  • Set aside.
  • Core apples and slice and peel, if desired.
  • Heat margarine in skillet.
  • Spread sliced apples and ½ the sugar mixture evenly in bottom of skillet.
  • Cook about 5 minutes.
  • Turn apples and sprinkle with remainder of sugar mixture.
  • Cover with lid and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste test for doneness to your family tastes.
