Chocolate Cream Cheese Cupcakes Recipe

Ingredients

1 package chocolate cake mix

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 c. sugar

1 egg

dash of salt

chocolate chips

Directions

Follow cake directions and pour batter into baking cups placed in cupcake pans.

Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg and salt until creamy.

Drop 1 teaspoonful of cheese mixture into each cupcake and sprinkle each with chocolate chips.

Bake according to package directions. Cool cupcakes in pan for 10 minutes, remove and cool completely on wire rack.

I used more than a teaspoon full of the cheese mixture in each cupcake and I had over half of the mixture left over. I froze it for the next time I make cupcakes but the cheese mixture ingredients could easily be cut in half with plenty to go around for one batch of cupcakes!

Ok I realize now that splitting the ingredients in half really wouldn't work as it calls for ONE egg and no one really feels like dividing an egg in half. This occured to me while cooking dinner tonight. Sorry for being so spacey!
