Turtles

These are another holiday treat I make once a year. There easy to make but time consumung, but very good.
Ingredients
- caramels shopping list
- 2 tbsp. evaporated milk shopping list
- 3 c chocolate chips (I like the milk chocolate chips) shopping list
- 72 pecan halfs shopping list
How to make it
- Melt caramels over low heat with the milk.
- Melt chocolate to a smooth consistency. (I use the microwave)
- On a cookie sheet, Place 2 pecans beside each other
- Take another pecan piece, dip in melted caramel and place on top of the other 2 pecan pieces.(this holds them together)
- Spoon more caramel over the nuts.
- Doing this procedure continue forming your turtles.
- Place in freezer until caramel is set.
- When set, dip the turtles into melted chocolate to completely cover it.(I use 2 forks to do this)
- Refrigerate until completey set.
- Store in an airtight container and keep in a cool place.
- Enjoy!!!!
