Japanese Sesame Spinach From Moosehead Restaurant Recipe

Ingredients
  • 16-20 ounces of fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

Directions
  1. Clean and prep spinach.
  2. Steam for 2-3 minutes until wilted but bright green. Set aside
  3. Roast sesame seeds in dry skillet until golden.
  4. Crush seeds with rolling pin.
  5. Combine sugar and soy until sugar is dissolved.
  6. Mix in sesame seeds.
  7. Mix above sauce with spinach.
  8. Serve hot or cold

Sounds great, maybe i can get my sis to eat spinach like this too.. she liked the spinach potato soup i made and she loves anything Japanese, so maybe just maybe she will take to this one too ;) let's hope so!


I just tried this; it's pretty tasty. I've never really used sesame seeds before, but after trying the sesame spinach I think I'll use them more in future. Thanks for the recipe.
